IMPORTANT ANNOUCEMENTS- PLEASE READ!
Reopening of Illinois High School Equivalency Testing Sites.
The Illinois Community College Board (ICCB) has announced the reopening of high school equivalency (HSE) testing centers in public-facing, private, and walk-in testing facilities beginning June 16, 2020. All test centers must follow the ICCB guidelines for safely reopening, available here.
Test takers can find additional information on each exam and testing policies here: https://www.iccb.org/adult_ed/illinois-high-school-equivalency/students-test-takers/
Provisional Waiver for the Constitution Test Requirements.
Regional Offices of Education and local adult education programs offering the U.S. and Illinois State Constitution and Flag Test (“Constitution Test”) are also eligible to resume testing, following the ICCB guidelines for safely reopening available here.
A map of test centers known to be accepting appointments for the Constitution Test is located here. Candidates needing to complete the Constitution Test may also contact their local Regional Office of Education for information about testing in their region. Cook County residents can find information on taking the Constitution Test in the Cook County region on the Cook County website.
During the period of time in which testing for the Constitution Test may be limited, the ICCB has extended its provisional waiver of the Constitution Test requirement. Test takers who have already completed and passed their GED®, HiSET®, or TASC™ exam, but are unable to complete the Constitution Test requirement, may request a copy of the provisional waiver from their Regional Office of Education through January 31, 2021. After receiving a provisional waiver, high school equivalency candidates have through April 30, 2021 to complete the Constitution Test requirement and receive their Illinois High School Equivalency Certificate. Candidates are strongly encouraged to complete the Constitution Test requirement as soon as possible in order to obtain their Illinois High School Equivalency Certificate.
Test-Takers should contact the Regional Office of Education where their exam was taken for a copy of this provisional waiver. To locate the appropriate office, click on the following link: http://iccbdbsrv.iccb.org/roesearch/citysearch.cfm.
Test takers in the Cook County area should contact the Cook County High School Equivalency Records Office at firstname.lastname@example.org.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: The Illinois Community College Board has approved two high school equivalency (HSE) exams for use in the State of Illinois. The GED® and HiSET® exams are both currently available in Illinois.
During 2016-2020, a third testing option, the TASC™ exam, was also available in the State of Illinois. As of January 1, 2021, the TASC™ exam is no longer offered within the State of Illinois.
If you are a TASC™ candidate who completed and passed all sections of the TASC™ test, your high school equivalency credential remains valid. If you are a TASC™ test taker who did not complete and pass all five sections of the TASC™ exam, you must start over with an alternate exam (GED® or HiSET®). Scores from the TASC™ exam cannot be combined with scores from the GED® or HiSET® exams.
If you have any questions regarding the discontinuation of the TASC™ test in Illinois, you may contact the Illinois Community College Board at email@example.com or the TASC Test Help Desk at TASCTestHelpdesk@datarecognitioncorp.com.
